How should Omu AI write for you?
Off until you turn it on.
Omu AI is the one AI feature in Omucloud, and it is narrow on purpose. Nothing reads your mailbox in the background. Nothing summarises. Nothing sends.
Your choice, on your account
Each person turns it on for themselves, in Settings, after reading who receives what. Turning it off is the same switch.
Two providers, at that moment only
When you press the bar, the clip goes to ElevenLabs to be transcribed, and the transcript with the message you are answering goes to OpenAI to write the draft. We keep neither the recording, the transcript nor the draft — only how long each step took.
You press Send
The draft is placed in your composer and stops there. Nothing goes to anyone until you have read it and sent it yourself.
Before you turn it on
- Which languages can I speak?
- Any language the transcriber recognises — Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, French, Polish, Vietnamese and dozens more, including mixing them in one breath. The email it writes is in English today.
- Where does it work?
- In Quick Reply at the foot of any message, and in the full composer — for replies, reply-all, forwards and brand-new messages. On the iPhone app and in a desktop browser alike; turning it on in one place turns it on in both.
- Does it ever send anything by itself?
- No. The draft lands in the composer with your recipients and your signature, and waits. Nothing leaves until you press Send.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing, while it is in beta. Omu AI is included with the free account today; there is no separate plan for it.
- Why did it write less than I expected?
- Because you said less. Omu AI turns your meaning into polished English; it does not add the next step, the apology or the deadline you did not mention. If you want them in the email, say them.
